Greg faces up to 180 days in jail after being charged with misdemeanor solicitation, according to the Associated Press.
The sports analyst was released hours after his arrest.
Greg had been scheduled to announce the Michigan State-Maryland men’s basketball game on Jan. 17 in College Park, Maryland. However, his future with CBS looks grim. He has been suspended indefinitely.
“Greg Anthony will not be working again for CBS this season,” a CBS spokeswoman told the AP.
Before starting his work with CBS Sports in 2014, Greg was an in-studio and game analyst for ESPN from 2002 to 2008. He is also a contributor to Yahoo! Sports as a college basketball analyst.
He was on the University of Nevada Las Vegas team that won the 1990 NCAA tournament. He played 11 seasons in the NBA as a point guard and defensive specialist. Greg played for six teams, including the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers. He retired in 2002.
