America Ferrera is totally open to a third movie. After the hugely successful first two Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants films, it would only make sense for her to reunite with her costars, Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn — ten years after the original.
So will it happen?
“Potentially. There’s a third project in the works! We’ll see what happens with that,” America told Us magazine.
This would be incredible. The story, which began as a series of five young adult novels by Ann Brashares, headed to the big screen in 2005; the second film in 2008 combined books two, three and four. So, it would make sense that one more movie be made.
Plus, we know the cast is still close! They’re all actually godmothers to Blake’s new bundle of joy, baby Violet Reynolds!
“We’re very, very happy for Ryan and Blake,” America told the mag.
“We’ve all been over,” Amber also recently told People. “I’m very excited for her and Ryan, and to be an auntie. All of us are godmothers so we are very happy.”
She went on to say that Blake actually tricked her the first time she met Violet.
“That bitch! She tricked me! She was texting me about wallpaper, she was like, ‘You gotta come see my new wallpaper,’ and I went up there, and there was her baby,” Amber told he magazine.
So funny! We would love to see these ladies reunite for a third and final installment of Sisterhood. Do you agree, HollywoodLifers? Would you want to see a third film? Let us know!
