On Jan. 13, Scholastic announced that the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, will be released in living color on Oct. 6, 2015. Just when we thought that the ‘Harry Potter’ phenomenon was sadly over, we were pleasantly surprised that the beloved series is being revamped a with the help of artist, Jim Kay!
“To be given the opportunity to design the characters, the clothing, the architecture and landscapes to possibly the most expansive fantasy world in children’s literature, well let’s just say I’m extremely excited about it. The story is everything, and so I want to bring what I can to really show the depth of Rowling’s stories, to their best,” Jim Kay said in a statement according to Us Weekly.
