Allison Williams radiated old Hollywood glamour on the Golden Globes red carpet on Jan. 11. She stood out in the crowd of modern styles, and her nostalgic look couldn’t have been more perfect. Allison Williams At The Golden Globe Awards — Hair & Makeup How To
Allison’s hair was styled so elegantly in her old Hollywood faux bob, so makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato created a little contrast but adding some rock and roll to her look with a smokey eye. He lined the entire eye with the Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #4. For a shimmery dimension, he used both Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in #1 (a black shade) and #7 (a gunmetal shade). He smoked out her look with a dark grey shadow from Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Quad in #11, using the light beige shadow on the inner corner of the eye. To finish, he added three coats of Lancôme Grandiôse Mascara. For full, dramamtic brows, Gianpaoli used Giorgio Armani Eye & Brow Maestro in #2.
Allison also had an undeniable, natural looking glow as she posed on the red carpet. Gianpaolo created this luminous and dewy look by applying St. Tropez One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion. This product is perfect for giving yourself an even, bronzy glow without an “orange” look.
Allison William’s Faux Bob — Exact Steps
While her beautiful makeup and bronzy skin were flawless, we couldn’t ignore Allison’s pretty faux bob! Wella Professionals Stylist Renato Campora spilled the exact steps to creating this retro look:
“Start with freshly washed and condition hair, and then prime will damp by applying 2-3 pumps of Wella Professionals Velvet Amplifier to the palms of your hands and distribute evenly throughout hair.
Work in Wella Professionals Elastic Energy Curl Enhancing Mousse from root to ends and create a deep side part and blow dry hair with a fine tooth comb.
Take medium sections of hair, starting from the top of the head, curl hair towards the face.
Using bobby pins, secure each curl flat to the head and lightly mist with Wella Professionals Spray Stay Essential Finishing Spray.
Once the hair has cooled, remove the pins and loosely brush out the lengths.
Shape the waves using Wella Professionals Stay Firm Finishing Spray and Wella Professionals Smooth Brilliance Shine Pomade to define and prevent fly-aways.
Using bobby pins, curl the bottom of the hair up and under, and secure the hair to form the bob.
Finish off by spraying hair with Wella Professionals LuxeOil Light Oil Keratin Protection Spray leaving hair smooth, shiny and red carpet ready.”
