Plus, Ashley I. revealed her huge secret to the ladies in the house, before totally making a move on Chris!
We should have known after Chris Soules decided to keep Tara last week, we were in for a crazy ride. That happened on the first moment on the January 12 episode of The Bachelor, when Chris shocked the house by bringing Kimberly back after she told him she wasn’t ready to go. Well, it was night one, of course she wasn’t!
‘This Is Your Life, There Are No Rules’
Chris Harrison basically told Chris he could do whatever he wanted when it came to Kimberly, who wasn’t ready to leave. So, Chris gave her a second chance.
And he invited her on the first group date, which involved six women in bikinis. The lucky six were Kimberly, Tara, Mackenzie, Michelle, Tandra and Ashley I. So what was the challenge? The ladies had a little pool party, then had to race tractors down the street . . . in bikinis. Yes, really. Ashley pulled ahead and ended up winning the slow-and-steady tractorthon, and Chris got to chat with him on his lap of the tractor.
However, he decided to end the group date and go off one-on-one with Mackenzie! We have to admit this was definitely one of the most red-flagged-filled first dates ever. Mackenzie is a sweet girl, but instead of just coming out and telling him she has a son, she decided to talk about his big nose and aliens. Awkward.
But once she told him about her son, it seemed he forgot all of those — he loved that she revealed it all and the strength it showed him. So, she got the rose. Then went home and told all the girls about all the kisses — and how many there were.
To The Grand Canyon
Back at the house, Megan got the next one-on-one date, but didn’t even know that’s what the love note was when it arrived. This may have been because she had broken into Chris’ house earlier in the day and banged her head against his fridge. Yes, literally. So off she went on a date with Chris — first in a plane, then a helicopter to the Grand Canyon. He definitely seemed smitten, telling her she had the “most beautiful blue eyes in North America.”
She opened up on the date, about how she was ready to go on The Bachelor, and her father suddenly passed away from a massive heart attack. And Chris said the right thing: “I’m lucky you’re here.” He also said she was the “perfect girl” and they had a nice little makeout sesh.
Til Death Do Us Part
When it came time for date number two, ABC attempted to do a scary date, titled “Til Death Do Us Part,” where 11 ladies were brought in a limo to a dark secluded area and attacked by fake zombies — then Chris popped his head in.
The girls finished their Fireball shots, and headed out onto a zombie hunt. While most girls had fun, Ashley S. proved yet again, she was a little nutty and really into shooting people. Regardless, the date ended with popped champagne and a “you guys killed it” pun by Chris (so disappointed in you, C.S.). He also got some romantic one-on-one time with Kaitlyn and Britt. Both had quite the connection.
He leaned in and made a move on Kaitlyn and their kiss seemed much more intimate and cute than his other kisses; but he still told Britt he couldn’t stop thinking about her and gave her a note that said, “free kiss from Chris.”
However, he gave the date rose to Kaitlyn.
Fighting For The Rose
For the ladies who didn’t get any time with Chris, it was time to make the final impressions before she sent them home. So, for Ashley I., she took that chance to give Chris three wishes on her belly button ring (it was a genie lamp). His first wish was to kiss her, and she made him rub the lamp for that to happen. It was quite sexual for a virgin to do — and they had quite the make out session.
Speaking of that, the moment she told Mackenzie she was a virgin, she completely freaked out and kept saying she was “so jealous!” Weird.
However, because every season needs
one two drunkies, we also saw Jordan make a really awkward pass at Chris, when she was clearly intoxicated. So, who’d he send home?
Well, before we get there, Chris called Juelia and Jillian thought he called her — and with that, she stepped up and slipped on the rug! Poor girl! Luckily, she did stay. Chris sent home Jordan, Tara, Alissa and Kimberly (for the second time). Yes, that means he kept Ashley S. Somehow.
I find this section extremely important, since this show is filled with so many great lines. So here are some of my favorites:
“I’m more Kardashian than I am country.” – Ashley I.
“Do you believe in aliens?” – Mackenzie… on their first date.
“I absolutely 100% feel like I am head over heels for Chris.” -Megan, the first girl to say that so far. But she won’t be the last.
“Death is zero amount romantic.” -Jillian
“Killing zombies is my jam.” -Kaitlyn
“You guys really killed it today.” -Chris after the zombie apocalypse, making a great pun.
“I’m sorry, are we in a dome?” Ashley during her few minutes of one-on-one time with Chris.
“You have three wishes on my belly button ring.” Ashley I.
“I’m only kind of a stalker.” -Jordan
Do you think Chris sent home the right people on The Bachelor, HollywoodLifers? Let us know!
