Julianne Moore Wins Golden Globe Award For Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture Drama
Julianne seemed super shocked by her win, but we think it was well deserved.
In the movie, Julianne played a college professor who disappeared in front of her friends, family and herself as Alzheimer’s disease slowly destroyed her mind.
She was so perfect in the role, which is why we’re so happy she’s being recognized for her hard work.
Julianne Moore Faced Steep Competition
The Best Performance By An Actress In A Motion Picture Drama category was definitely a tight race, as there were a lot of stellar performances in 2014.
Felicity Jones starred as Jane Hawking in The Theory of Everything, Rosamund Pike starred as Amy Elliott-Dunne in Gone Girl, Reese Witherspoon starred as Cheryl Strayed in Wild, Jennifer Aniston played Claire Bennett in Cake, and of course Julianne starred as Dr. Alice Howland in Still Alice.
Every female in this category gave an amazing performance — the best of their careers — but we’re so happy Julianne Moore won!
