The sixth and final season of ‘Glee’ premieres on Jan. 9, and fans are probably not ready for how many emotions they’ll be hit with. In an EXCLUSIVE interview, new cast member, Billy Lewis Jr., told HollywoodLife.com what we can expect in the farewell season, — and how it will commemorate Finn.
It’s really the beginning of the end for Glee, and we have so many questions about what will happen on the final season. Thankfully, we got some answers from cast member, Billy Lewis Jr., who is joining the show for the sixth season as Mason, a twin cheerleader.
‘Glee’ Final Season: Finn Is Remembered
Before Glee sings its final tune, fans were of course wondering if and how the show would pay homage to Cory Monteith‘s character Finn. Billy, who is a new cast member this season, assured us that Finn will be recognized throughout the final season.
“They do little things here and there that I really love,” said Billy. One such thing is displaying Finn’s Jersey, which can be seen hanging on the wall during a locker room scene. “Every now and then there’s a nice little reminder of him– some really nice things to commemorate him here or there.”
Billy’s Character: Who Will He Play?
Billy will be playing one half of a brother/sister glee club duo when the series returns. “We’re two peppy cheerleaders who join the glee club,” he told us. “We’re kind of a little off beat and weird… We’re really close with each other and I think that comes off a little too straight forward for people sometimes.”
And, before the premiere, we had to ask about what it’s like for Rachel to be coaching. “It’s really, really interesting,” is all Billy would say.
Way to keep us guessing!
Are you guys excited for Glee‘s final season? Are you sad to see it go?
