Teresa Giudice’s freedom will come sooner than expected. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 42, who entered Danbury Federal Correction Institute on Jan. 5 to serve a 15-month sentence, has earned an early release date. Will Teresa be out of prison before 2015 is up?
Teresa will be released from prison on Feb. 5, 2016, according to the Bureau of Prisons website. The winter release date is a few months before her original 15-month sentence ends.
The reality star just entered prison, but at least she already has something to look forward to. We know she is ecstatic to get out early so she can get home to her husband and four daughters.
She is currently residing in a small cell at Danbury Federal Correction Institute with one window. Her first meal at the prison included a fresh orange, hot oatmeal, three slices of bread and two cups of skim milk.
Teresa is serving time after she and husband Joe Giudice pleaded guilty to 41 counts of fraud, bank, mail and wire bankruptcy fraud. Joe will serve his 41-month sentence after Teresa is released.
Teresa’s attorney James J. Leonard Jr said that the reality star was “very, very strong” before entering prison.
“The last thing she said to me was, ‘I’ll be fine. Tell Joe and the girls I’m good,’” he told People.
Even as she was on her way to prison, she remained stoic.
“She was like, ‘Hey. Let’s go. Let’s get this done,” James said.
We’re so glad that Teresa is staying strong amidst this ordeal.
