Despite what the song is telling us to do, ‘Let It Go’ is still not going anywhere. ‘Glee’ is the latest to make sure of that and, in a just-released video, we see Lea Michele’s character Rachel sing a full rendition of the classic. She’s free…eeee!
Glee returns for its final season (tear) on Friday, Jan. 9 and it’s a very emotional time for Gleeks everywhere. In the premiere episode, we get to see Lea Michele take on the Frozen anthem and it basically will make all of your dreams come true. Check out the full performance video right now!
‘Glee’ Season 6 Premiere: ‘Let It Go’
We’ve been hearing for months that Lea Michele would be singing “Let It Go” on Glee and the anticipation has been real. Finally now, the wait is over! FOX has just released a full music-video-length clip of Rachel letting it go all over the halls of McKinley High School and you’ve got to check it out.
Trust us, you will get some serious chills (think season one’s “Don’t Stop Believing”). Watch below!
Like Mother Like Daughter
It’s very fitting that Lea is singing “Let It Go” on Glee this season. Not only does the mega-hit song fit perfectly in her big range, but it was also performed originally by Idina Menzel who, you might recall, plays Lea’s biological mother on the show.
Glee producers may have caught onto this irony, because the dress Lea sports in the “Let It Go” vid looks eerily similar to the one that Idina wore to sing the song at last year’s Oscar’s (when John Travolta called her Adele Dazeem. We know you remember!).
What do you guys think of Lea’s version of the song? Are you excited for Glee‘s final season, or have you already let it go? (Sorry for that).
