Wow! Phylicia Rashad, Bill Cosby’s TV wife on ‘The Cosby Show,’ has finally broken her silence on the slew of allegations against her co-star. See her shocking statement!
It’s not entirely surprising that Phylicia Rashad, 66, is showing her support for her Cosby Show co-star of eight years, 77-year-old Bill Cosby. However, what she has to say about Bill’s alleged sexual assault victims is truly shocking.
Phylicia Rashad On Bill Cosby Allegations: Bill’s ‘Cosby Show’ Wife Defends Him
Phylicia is speaking out not only in support of Bill, but in strong opposition of his nearly 20 rape accusers.
As Bill is set to return to the stage this week for the first time since his November stand-up set in the Bahamas, his former TV wife broke her silence on the mountain of allegations against him.
In an informal Jan. 6 sit-down with Showbiz411, Phylicia completely discounted the stories of all 18 of Bill’s accusers, stating that each of the women should be totally ignored.
“Forget these women!” she declared.
She also feels that the accusations came as part of a big plot to ruin Bill, though she wasn’t sure of the the reason for a take-down of this caliber.
“What you are seeing is the destruction of a legacy,” she said. “And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”
Shocking! Why do you think someone would want to smear Bill’s name this way?
Keisha Knight-Pulliam Defends Bill Cosby
Phylicia isn’t the first The Cosby Show cast member to step up and defend the once adored TV dad. Keisha Knight-Pulliam, 35, who played Bill’s daughter Rudy on the show, spoke out in defense of Bill after being fired from The Celebrity Apprentice for not giving the comedian a call during a fundraiser.
“They’re just that — allegations. We live in America, where you’re innocent until proven guilty,” she told Wendy Williams. “All I can speak to is the man that I know and I love.”
Hmmm, what do YOU think HollywoodLifers? Are the accusations true, or part of a plot to keep Bill Cosby down?
