Move over, Marky Mark! After months of speculation surrounding Bieber and his obsession with his Calvins, it is finally official! The Biebs is sliding into the covetable role of Calvin Klein model and cozying up to model Lara Stone — and what better way to break the news of his new gig than with a very hot announcement video? WATCH it here.
Thanks to Calvin Klein, Justin Bieber, 20, actually has a reason to walk around shirtless with his underwear on display — and it is because he is now the face, (and bod!), of Calvin Klein. It seems like a perfect fit if you ask us — and it also marks Justin’s first high-fashion campaign. For months we’ve speculated that Justin had big plans with the brand, (in fact, in April 2014 we told you first that he was in NYC for a Calvin Klein photo shoot!), and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see them finally announce the big news with a short teaser video on the Calvin Klein Instagram page on Jan. 6. Justin, 20, posed alongside model Lara Stone, 31, in the very steamy black-and-white photographs.
Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein Campaign Video & PICS — Shirtless With Model Lara Stone:
Justin flexed and showed off his tattoos, (and a whole lot more), as he stripped down to just his underwear for the campaign, which was shot in NYC, (told ya so!), by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, WWD reports. If you take one glance at the photos it is clear that they drew inspiration from Marky Mark and Kate Moss’ iconic shoot from 1992 — and we can’t get enough of it.
Justin confirmed the news on his social media channels following the very sexy release of a teaser video on the Calvin Klein Instagram page — and although you can’t see Justin’s face in the short teaser, we were totally able to tell that it was him as he sat with his back to the camera playing the drums, wearing nothing more than the brand’s signature denim — and his Calvins, of course! In another shot from the teaser video, Justin gets close to Lara Stone, pulling her towards his shirtless chest. Aside from showing a lot of skin, the Biebs also put his tattoos on full display.
The 20-year-old crooner will join the ranks of other famous Calvin Klein models, including Kellan Lutz, Antonio Sabato Jr. and Matthew Terry, (AKA the hottie that stole the show with his 2014 Super Bowl commercial) — but no one’s campaign was as famous as Mark Wahlberg, when he posed alongside Kate Moss in 1992 — that is, until now! Judging by the teaser, the rest of the campaign will definitely deliver lots of Bieber.
What do you think? Are you totally thrilled that the Biebs landed such a sexy, iconic campaign?
