OMG, is the ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ singer ok? On Jan. 3, a YouTube video surfaced of a news reporter holding a press conference claiming that Ricky Martin had been killed in a car crash on a freeway in Los Angeles, CA.
Fans of Ricky Martin, 43, are absolutely freaking out. The sheriff’s department in Marin County, Cali. reported that the singer had passed away on Jan. 3. The singer, whose real name is Enrique Martín Morales, has two twin twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, who were born in 2008 via surrogate mother. Is he ok?
Ricky Martin Dead?
Immediately, fans began tweeting, Facebook posting, and Instagramming pics of Ricky and were absolutely heartbroken. However, they quickly realized that the video claimed the report came from Marin County, which is north of San Francisco — but it also reported the accident occurred 400 miles away in L.A.

Luckily, Ricky Martin totally gets the death hoax — and seems to find it funny!
On Jan. 4, he posted a beautiful beach on Instagram‘ with the caption, “Hello from #heaven.” Two hours later, he shared a photo of himself looking at the sunset. This time he captioned it, “#Sunset in #heaven.”
