Poor Gia. Just hours before her mom, Teresa, turned herself in to serve a 15 month prison sentence, the teen tweeted about the ‘unreal’ support system keeping her together.
Gia Giudice, 13, must be devastated now that her mom, Teresa Giudice, 42, is a prison inmate. During their last night together as a family, Gia took to Twitter to express her sadness about her mom’s decision to turn herself in the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 5.
Gia Giudice’s Heartbreaking Tweet Before Teresa’s Turn In
At 13 years old, Gia is the oldest of Teresa’s four beautiful girls. Unfortunately, that means she understands more of what her parents, specifically her mom, are going through right now.
On Sunday night, Jan. 4, at around 10pm New Jersey time, Gia posted her last tweet before saying goodbye to her mom.
“support system is unreal
#soblessed,” the teenager wrote, along with three Emoji’s to show how grateful she was to have amazing people in her life during this difficult time.
Four hours later, Teresa turned herself in and began serving her 15-month prison sentence at Danbury Federal Correctional Institution in Connecticut.
Our thoughts are with Gia and the her three younger sisters during this sad time for them.
Teresa Was ‘Strong’ While Turning Herself In
Despite any and all fears Teresa may have had about spending 15 months in prison, her lawyer revealed that she showed incredible strength while turning herself in to the authorities.
“Very, very strong,” James J. Leonard Jr. told NorthJersey.com. “Very, what I would say is, very anxious to get this thing started and very anxious to get it behind her.”
It’s great to hear that Teresa is headed into prison with her held head high and her strength and focus in-tact. Her girls will need to see her be strong when they start visiting her in Danbury over the new year or so, otherwise they, too, will get discouraged.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers — Will Teresa and her daughters make it through this prison sentence? Do you think any of it will be shown on Real Housewives of New Jersey? Comment below with your thoughts.
