‘Friends’ coming to Netflix is the best gift you could have asked for on New Years Day. If you somehow haven’t seen it, take a few days, lock yourself in your room and marathon it. For the rest of you, here are five eps to watch first!
From “we were on a break” to “how you doin’?,” Friends is full of memorable quotes, moments and all around joy. Now that it’s coming to Netflix, you can watch it whenever and wherever. My suggestion is all the time and everywhere.
‘Friends’ Series on Netflix: 5 Episodes To Start With
Here’s a breakdown of my favorite Friends episodes (in no order, because I just can’t do that):
“The One Where Everybody Finds Out” – Season 5, Episode 14
Yes, this is the one that Monica and Chandler’s relationship is finally exposed after a fun game of “they don’t know that we know that they know.” So, not only did Pheobe kiss Chandler after showing her bra, this happened which no matter what, makes me crack up everytime:
“The One Where Ross Finds Out” – Season 2, Episode 7
Thanks to this episode, we got two amazing moments: Rachel jumping on Ross’ shoulders when he hears her voicemail — the moment he finds out she was once into him; and the kiss in front of the Central Perk.
“The Last One” – Season 10, Episode 17 (and 18)
I’m cheating here a little bit, combining the last two episodes. But come on, Chandler and Monica get an extra baby and Rachel gets off the plane!
“The One with the Prom Video” – Season 2, Episode 14
Ross can’t seem to get back on Rachel’s good side until she watches a video from her prom night — when her date almost stood her up and Ross stepped in. The moment she found out, she walked over and kissed him, because well, she’s his lobster.
“The One with All the Thanksgivings” – Season 5, Episode 8
Stories exchanged on Thanksgiving revealed that Monica was the reason Chandler was missing a toe, and Chandler was the reason Monica went on a diet because she overheard him call her fat years ago. However, it led to Monica putting a turkey on her head, and it was . . . amazing.
“The One with the Proposal” – Season 6, Episode 24 (and 25)
I’m combining again — I had to! This one deserves honorable mention because Richard is in it and it involves the most untraditional and surprising proposal ever. Yes, Monica asks Chandler. Spoiler: he says yes!
Happy New Year, HollywoodLifers! Which episode of Friends is your favorite?! Let us know!
