Is your favorite ‘Breaking Bad’ star heading into a galaxy far far away? Well, he could be! He’s in the running to star as Han Solo himself in the spin-off of ‘Star Wars,’ reportedly code-named ‘Luminac Industrial Goods.’
Could Aaron Paul step into Harrison Ford‘s shoes? Well, they’re big ones to fill but the 35-year-old actor definitely has what it takes. In addition to giving some spoilers and new photos from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a fansite has now reported that Aaron will be attached to the film.
‘Star Wars’ Spin-off
“Since there has never been a Star Wars spin-off film like what we’re about to get, there’s no good or bad track record. For this reason, we’re having to rely pretty much entirely on the sources that have panned out for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So today’s information comes from a friend that did give us legit Star Wars: The Force Awakens set photos and more,” the editor in chief of MakingStarWars.com wrote.
The blog has been very accurate with its spoilers in the past, but of course we have never had a spin-off before.
The spin-off film is running under a code-name, “Luminac Industrial Goods,” their source added, also claiming their source was from Pinewood Studios. Filming of the spin-off will reportedly “overlap with some of Star Wars: Episode VIII” and will center in some way, around Han Solo.
From Luke Skywalker To Han Solo
So, where does Aaron come in? “Aaron Paul is looking to be attached to the first Star Wars spin-off film in some fashion. There was no direct implication he was playing Han Solo,” the source stated.
However, we have to point out that on December 18, Aaron participated in a live cast reading of the original script for The Empire Strikes Back, reading the part of Luke Skywalker. On Dec. 16, he teased readers on Twitter, writing “It’s official! I will be playing Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. Give me my light saber!! Dreams are real my friends.” However, just six minutes later, he cleared up where he’d be “playing” him.
“To everyone that thinks I’m playing Luke Skywalker in the new movie…bless you. The link I posted talks about a staged reading I’m doing,” he tweeted.
Does anyone else feel that after Aaron’s role on Breaking Bad, he’d actually be awesome as Chewy’s BFF?
