New Year’s Eve Hairstyles — Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian & More
Ariana Grande may be known for her half up ponytail, but J-Lo also flaunted this look in 2014.
David says, “This is the perfect look to show off makeup.” Here’s the how to:
“Create loose waves using the ghd classic wave wand. Wrap hair in different directions to make waves appear fuller.
Run fingers through hair to separate.
Using bobby pins, separate the top half, adding volume.
Pull pieces down to create a romantic/sexy feel.”
Another great look for showing off makeup or camouflaging a bad hair day is a sleek, high ponytail. This has been a go-to for stars like Nicki and Iggy Azalea.
“I love the look of a high ponytail. This is my favorite way to jazz up dirty hair, and add a lot of texture to a ponytail,” says David.
“Gather hair with hands and smooth over any bumps.
Tie together with a band, and tighten at top of head.
Section hair into three pieces.
Using the ghd classic curl iron, begin wrapping hair around the barrel of the iron in different directions for a cool, textured look.”
Kim Kardahian’s Sleek Hair & Beyonce’s Beach Waves — Get The Look
We got to see how elegant Kim’s slicked back look was at her birthday party earlier this year, and according to David, it is “a classic look that looks great with every outfit.”
“Part hair in center or in a sleek side part.
Using the eclipse styler, run through each section to create shiny sleek hair.
Tuck hair behind the ears for very classic and chic look.”
Lastly, Queen Bey herself blew us away with her sexy wavy blowout at the VMAs. This look is “sexy, but laidback look perfect for any event this season.”
“Tousle hair dry upside to add volume.
Once hair is dry, grab sections in various sizes and using the ghd classic curl iron and soft curl iron, wind the hair around the iron while keeping iron open. This technique creates soft, bouncy waves.
After all sections are complete, separate a few strands with fingers and gently tousle hair at roots with fingertips.”
