The year is coming to an end, but our romantic hearts are holding on to the love stories (and heart break) we saw go down in 2014. Click through our gallery to see the top 10 TV couples of the year — and one that deserves an honorable mention.
From Derek and Meredith’s love on Grey’s Anatomy to the long love story of Parks and Recreation‘s Ben and Leslie, 2014 was filled with romance. Of course, it was also filled with break ups but who wants to focus on that? We’ve got the best TV couples that you know you love.
Hottest TV Couples
Elena & Damon: They may be currently broken up on The Vampire Diaries but we all know that we’ll get a makeout-infront-of-the-fire scene soon.
Derek & Meredith: The Grey’s Anatomy pair may have had a rocky ending after the winter finale, but we can always home (and assume) that in the end, MerDer will find their way back to each other.
Emma and Hook: Hook always needs love, and on Once Upon A Time, he found it with Emma and well, they’re super hot together.
Adam and Kristina: The couple has been through it all on Parenthood, but no matter what, Adam always reminds her how beautiful she is.
Ben and Leslie: The final season of Parks and Recreation is on its way, and we can’t freakin’ wait to see Ben and Leslie with TRIPLETS!
Leonard and Penny: I mean does this couple from The Big Bang Theory need any more explaining?
Mindy and Danny: After all that sexual tension build up, we couldn’t be happier that this couple from The Mindy Project finally got together and are helping each other work through issues — together.
Jim and Maggie: The Newsroom‘s most anticipated couple finally ended up together at the end after totally kissing on a plane and basically deciding they were meant to be. IT’S ABOUT TIME.
Tig and Venus: In one of the oddest pairings, we watched Tig finally open up to Venus in the final season of Sons of Anarchy, and well, it was beautiful.
Glen and Maggie: We all know neither have had quite an easy life on The Walking Dead, but hey, at least they have each other.
For some reason, I felt that these two didn’t belong in a “best of 2014” list, because they’re more best of all-time. Yes, I’m talking about Cory and Topanga Matthews. The Boy Meets World couple landed on Disney channel this year for their spinoff and somehow they were just as perfect and relatable as they were in the original show.
