Teresa is reportedly ‘panicking’ over her 15-month prison sentence which begins on Jan. 5. The ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star will serve jail time for fraud and has a ton of fears of what will happen while she’s behind bars.
While the New Year brings happiness for most, for Teresa Giudice it brings great fear. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 42, will serve a 15-month jail sentence for fraud at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut come Jan. 5. Teresa is reportedly worrying about numerous things that will happen during her jail time, according to a new report.
Teresa Giudice’s Prison Sentence: Her Jail Fears Revealed
“Teresa’s panicking,” says a family friend of Teresa’s according to Us Weekly. “She’s worried about her parents dying, her husband cheating and leaving her girls.” We are beyond devastated at the emotional toll Teresa’s absence will have on her children growing up, and think Teresa’s fears are completely rationalized.
Teresa will immediately be thrown into the harshness of the prison world and “will have to prove herself” and adjust to being told “when she can eat, take a shower, go to bed, and get up,” according to a former Danbury inmate who served 15 years.
Another former inmate notes that celebrities are often targets of bullying in a women’s prison, which is what Teresa should look out for. The former inmate referenced being behind bars with singer Lauryn Hill, who learned her lesson when she didn’t try and blend in.
“[Teresa] won’t realize how much she needs her freedom until it’s gone,” the source close to Teresa continues. “Whatever she thinks, it will actually be 100-times worse.” We can only hope things go smoothly for Teresa’s sake.
Teresa Giudice Home Invaded
Such sad news for Teresa’s family — Teresa’s home was reportedly invaded by Federal Agents on Dec. 18, after they seized the property.
The agents stormed into the New Jersey mansion and took “plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids’ Christmas presents,” according to a report from Radar — all because Joe Giudice failed to set up a payment plan for their outstanding restitution of $214,000.
