Fri, December 19, 2014 11:13pm EDT by 1 Comment

The second trailer for ‘American Sniper’ dropped on Dec. 18 and it gave us the chills! Within seconds of watching, we could already tell that Bradley will win tons of awards for his lead role in this Navy SEAL drama. Watch it here!

In his most powerful role yet, Bradley Cooper, 39, plays the late Chris Kyle, a decorated Sniper and war veteran, in American Sniper. We have seen the hunky actor transform himself for many roles, but we have never seen this level of intensity from the Philadelphia native. In the Clint Eastwood-directed film, we also see a serious side of Sienna Miller, 32, who plays Bradley’s wife. The bottom line is — we are so impressed by this cast!

In the beginning of the American Sniper trailer, someone asks Chris Kyle a loaded question — one that sets the tone for what we can expect from the highly-anticipated war movie.

“Let me ask you a question, Chris. Would you be surprised if I told you that the Navy has credited you with a 160 kills?”

“Bradley Cooper delivers not simply one of the best performances of the year, but a performance for the ages,” writes Vanity Fair’s Buzz Bussinger.

Plus, the trailer also showcases Sienna’s superb acting chops. While she is typically known for her excellent style, we have a hunch she’ll be seen in a whole new light after this Warner Bros. flick gets released.

Bradley has already expressed how much he reveres his significant role in American Sniper and how honored he is to tell the story of Chris’ legacy.

In fact, the actor even spoke to the late Navy SEAL, 38, in order to gain the rights to adapt, produce and star in his story.

Brad only had one conversation with Chris before the decorated sniper’s death.

Chris was laid to rest on Feb. 12, 2012 after he was tragically murdered at a North Texas gun range by Iraq War veteran Eddie Ray Routh, 25.

Although Chris’ life story has already resonated with thousands of citizens across the nation, American Sniper will now enable millions of Americans to learn about his powerful story.

The movie is coming out in select theaters on Dec. 25 and officially hits theaters on Jan. 16.

HollywoodLifers, will you watch Bradley Cooper in action in what could be the movie of the year? We know we will! We love you Bradley!
