One Direction is always one to put on a great show for their fans — and that’s just what they’ll be doing this year on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve! Shine On Media caught up with the boy band on Dec. 14, and they shared everything from why they love New Year’s Eve to the songs they’ll be singing to ring in 2015. WATCH the video here!
One Direction’s ‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ Performance: Band Performing Smash Hits
The boys pretty much all agreed that New Year’s Eve is one of their top favorite holidays as you get to “reminisce” about the year “and look onwards into the future.”
Liam Payne announced that the group will be playing some of their oldest fan-favorite hits along with newer and popular songs!
So get ready to hear an epic mashup of the following: “What Makes You Beautiful”, “Story Of My Life”, “Night Changes”, “Steal My Girl”, and “Little Things”. We can’t wait!
“I think this has been one of my favorite years of being in the band so far. It’s been a huge year for us basically,” Liam said. “It’s been emotional as well. There’s been some emotional times. Physically and mentally.”
There’s literally no better way to ring in the New Year than hearing this epic performance by 1D — we know the boys will steal the show!
One Direction New Album — Band Confirms Fifth Album
Going along with Liam’s statement that it’s been a huge year for the band, One Direction confirmed that they they will be releasing a fifth studio album! (You can watch their official confirmation HERE.)
We don’t know about you, but we are freaking out! We’re still obsessing over their recently released album Four, which shows the boys tackling many different genres while staying true to their musical roots. But hey, if 1D is putting out a fifth album, then we will gladly accept the new material and love it.
