No one was expecting Bruno Mars to wear hair curlers on ‘The Voice,’ but HollywoodLife.com has found out exclusively that it was all part of the song! Talk about dedication!
Bruno Mars and English DJ Mark Ronson totally rocked out on the Dec. 16 finale of The Voice, performing “Uptown Funk” — but their music wasn’t the only funky thing! Bruno, 29, donned some hair curlers because he thought it would “just look cool.” Well, we bought it!
Bruno Mars’ On ‘The Voice’: Hair Curlers?
“He thought that the the look was very cool and funky, and he wanted to pay homage to the time of this type of music of the 70s,” a source close to the singer told HollywoodLife.com exclusively.
We agree — definitely cool and all the rage! He paired his hair curlers with a brown shiny plaid blazer over a deep V, black pants, and gold sunglasses. A daring look, yes, but he totally rocked it.
Our source also told us that the style went hand in hand with the music — which if you heard the performance, you get!
Bruno Mars May Continue Hair Curlers Look
“He did the same thing in the music video, so he wanted the performance and the music video to mesh and just look cool,” the insider added. “He really likes the look and may continue it.”
So should we expect to see Bruno walking around town wearing hair curlers? Maybe! But I don’t think I’d mind.
What about you, HollywoodLifers? Did you like the style or was it too weird? Let us know!
