Blake Shelton: Craig Wayne Boyd — “Greatest Thing” To See Him Win
We were dying to know, “How does it feel to beat Adam?” Blake chucked and began explaining his thoughts, “Here we go. Well, let me start by saying the greatest thing for me is to see this guy sitting here holding this trophy right now because I know how much he’s put into this competition firsthand, but I’m also aware of how much he’s put into trying to make it as an artist in the music industry and the struggles and the ups and mostly the downs that he’s had.”
So cute! We love how much love Blake puts into his coaching duties — Craig was lucky to have such an amazing guy by his side throughout the whole experience.
Blake Explains ‘It’s Awesome To Have This’
Blake continued to talk about his admiration for Craig — “All the doors shut in his face and the carpet yanked out from under him. And all of a sudden, here’s a guy who is the winner of The Voice. And he’s already sold a crapload of music. And just to see this happen for somebody that I felt like I could relate to because he moved to Nashville, and he’s been beating the streets. There has never been a more deserving person to hold that trophy than Craig Wayne Boyd, as far as paying dues. I mean, this guy has put his time in. Now, to answer your question, it’s awesome. To be able to have this.”
HollywoodLifers, do you agree with Blake that Craig was the most deserving contestant? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
