In a new interview, Lindsay Lohan has said ‘hell no’ to ever living in Los Angeles again! The actress known for her troubled history claims she has fled to London to escape her notoriety, and that is where she plans to stay. See what she had to say below!
Lindsay Lohan, 28, has spent most of her life in the lime light, and we’re all aware that it hasn’t always been the prettiest road for her. Now she’s found a haven across the pond in London, and she says her newfound freedom has been “like another life.”
Lindsay Lohan Will Never ‘Live In LA’ Again — Interview
In an interview with The Guardian, Lindsay says that being away from her partying friends in New York and Los Angeles has caused her to grow up! About time, girl.
Her journey began last summer when she vacationed in Greece alone and discovered how life could be without a swarming paparazzi:
“It was the first time I have ever just been on a vacation by myself,” she said. “I just wandered about on my own! I turned off my phone. It was so extraordinarily freeing for me. Like another life.”
When Lindsay moved to London around March of 2014, she landed a theatre gig in David Mamet’s play Speed-the-Plow which required her to do 8 shows a week for 3 months — and she didn’t miss one performance.
For the first time, Lindsay explained that her nighttime routine had finally strayed away from partying and she was able to take control of her life; “In LA I didn’t know what to do apart from go out every night,” she says. But in London, “I can go for a run here on my own… I do every morning, early, and I think how my friends in New York would still be up partying at that time. I needed to grow up and London is a better place for me to do that than anywhere else.”
Lindsay Lohan Makes London Her Permanent Home
Now that Lindsay is living what she refers to as an “intention-led” life, she has no intentions of returning to LA.
“I won’t live in LA again, hell no,” she says. “My friends tell me shit when they come over I don’t want to hear. I don’t even know who got married and who got pregnant. You turn on the news in LA and it is all gossip about people. All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news?” She laughs. “I love the BBC. I haven’t heard myself mentioned on TV since I have been here. That has been really weird for me, and great.”
We’re so happy that Lindsay is taking control of her life! After checking herself in and out of rehab, doing community service in a LA county morgue, and receiving counselling from Oprah on her 5-part reality show, she definitely seems like she’s on the right path now!
