Bruno Mars took ‘The Voice’ uptown on the Dec. 16 finale! The singer performed with Mark Ronson on season seven’s big night and they sounded better than ever! (And can we talk about the hair curlers?)
Bruno Mars teamed up with English DJ Mark Ronson to perform their brand new hit, “Uptown Funk,” and we’ve got to say — it was funky. The song will be featured on Mark’s next album out in January, so it was perfect timing. Did you love their duet on The Voice?
Bruno Mars’ ‘The Voice’ Finale — A Funky Performance
The performance absolutely lit up the stage during the season seven finale — so much talent in one room!
Bruno danced and sang his heart out, all while wearing aviator sunglasses and CURLERS IN HIS HAIR. Somehow, he managed to pull them off flawlessly. Did he just start a new beauty trend?
Mark slayed the guitar during the performance.
It was definitely fitting for the guys to perform this song tonight — the song was performed by Fleur East, a contestant on X-Factor in the UK, this week. It actually wasn’t supposed to be out in the UK until Jan. 11, but after that — it was released early. The performance had over a million views in just three days! (You can watch that performance here!)
“I realized this girl’s cover was going to come out before our own. For a minute I was a little bit annoyed,” Mark said in an interview. However, the song absolutely blew up, so I’m sure he’s moved on!
Bruno met Mark when working together on his album, Unorthodox Jukebox. We hope they perform together again soon! Did you love their amazing performance? Let us know.
