Reba McEntire Wins First Ever NASH Icon Award
“Everything that Reba has gotten, has been because she earned it” were the words of Kix Brooks, and we couldn’t agree more! She was so humble when receiving this iconic award, and it only made us love her even more.
Kelly and Miranda performed a medley of Reba’s songs including “How Blue”, and Reba herself even joined in on the stellar performance. Kelly is actually Reba’s step daughter in law and close friend, so performing for Reba in her honor was definitely a special treat for her!
“It’s like your friend is becoming your mother-in-law and your mentor,” Kelly has said in the past. “You know, she’s a big mentor for me, too, not only musically but professionally.”
Reba became one of the biggest names in country music because of her success in music, television, film, theater and retail. The “Queen of Country Music” has produced an astonishing 35 No. 1 singles and sold more than 56 million albums worldwide. But don’t worry, she’s not just a legend — she’s still got it! Reba totally rocked out on the stage and reminded us why her name will live forever in country music.
