‘Glee’: Rachel & Kurt Take Over In Final Season — Watch First Promo

Get your tissues out — it’s officially the beginning of the end. The first promo for the final season of ‘Glee’ hit Fox on Dec. 15, and let’s just say, it’s going to be hard to say goodbye.

Rachel (Lea Michele) is back home, taking over, and letting it go. Glee returns with the sixth and final season on January 9 and while we’re not looking forward to the end, we’ve got to say we can’t wait to see the drama all the originals are about to bring!

‘Glee’ Season 6 Promo

“It began as a story for the underdog in all of us,” we hear at the beginning of the promo — showing the Glee club from season one, including a flash of Cory Monteith. “After five gleeful years, the phenomena is taking its final bow.”

Rachel and Kurt (Chris Colfer) return to McKinley to take over the Glee club, or as Sue(Jane Lynch) puts it — they “enter the Thunderdome.”

In the first trailer, we see Rachel belt out “Let It Go,” and I can’t help but point out the irony that her mother on the show is played by none other than Idina Menzel.

We also get a glance of Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) back in their cheerleading uniforms. We’re not sure why, but we’ll take it.

In case you forgot — it’s been a while, we know that when Rachel returns back home, she finds that Sue has banned arts at the school. Of course, that’s not going to fly. Again, I’m not ready to say goodbye, but I can’t wait for the show to return on Jan. 9 at 9pm for its two-hour premiere!

Do you think the final season looks good, HollywoodLifers?
