Jay Z met with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and when Fox News wrote about it, they called him a ‘former crack dealer’ which seems a bit mean-spirited and extreme.
Don’t expect Jay Z to go on Fox News in the near future. Fox Nation, a website run by Fox News wrote an article about his visit with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and when trying to describe Jay Z, 45, the only thing they could come up with was “former crack dealer.” We can think of a lot of other ways to describe him: Grammy winner, dad, even philanthropist, but crack dealer? Come on.
Jay Z Dissed By Fox Nation: Refers To Him As ‘Crack Dealer’
Jay Z and the governor were discussing “a top-to-bottom review of the criminal justice system and how we can all work together to pass a reform package,” according to Melissa DeRosa, his spokesperson.
She also said that the meeting was very productive and we bet it was! But the article instead focused on the rapper’s past. Jay grew up in Brooklyn’s Marcy Projects and has discussed and even written songs about his time selling drugs. But Jay has come a long way since those days. He has spent time at the White House with President Barack Obama, he is a 19-time Grammy winner and he is a fabulous dad to Blue Ivy. To take what was called a “productive” meeting and make the article so negative is truly just sad.
Jay Z & Beyonce Meet Prince William & Kate Middleton
We should also point out that Jay and his beautiful wife, Beyonce, met with Prince William and Kate Middleton during their royal tour in NYC.
They all exchanged some friendly words while at the Brooklyn Nets game and we bet William and Kate didn’t refer to him as a “former crack dealer.” We think this was out of line and they should issue an apology!
HollywoodLifers, do you think it was wrong for Jay Z to be called a “former crack dealer”?
