It’s finally over. After months of court dates and hearings, a judge has finally ruled whether or not Leah Messer should keep full custody of her twin girls, Ali and Aleeah.
Teen Mom 2‘s Leah Messer is done fighting for custody of her babies, Aliannah and Aleeah Simms, both 5. Was she able to convince the judge that she deserves to keep the twins, or has her ex-husband Corey Simms finally been granted full custody?
Leah Messer & Corey Simms’ Custody Battle Ends
It all started on the fifth season of Teen Mom 2: Corey decided to fight for custody of the twins for the first time since his divorce from Leah.
Now, it has been revealed that on Monday, Dec. 8, a judge ordered that Leah and Corey will now share custody of Ali and Aleeah, reports Radar Online.
The report claims that the hearing was “very amicable,” which is good to hear because on the fifth season of the series, Corey and Leah were constantly bickering over the girls — especially Ali’s health needs.
Hopefully, these two can now work on rebuilding their co-parenting relationship.
Leah & Corey’s Custody Terms Revealed
Now that they will be sharing custody of the twins, things are going to change for Ali and Aleeah’s living situation.
The report claims that Ali and Aleeah will now spend three nights a week at Corey’s home with him and his wife, Miranda. The other four nights will be spent with Leah and presumably her husband, Jeremy Calvert, if they don’t split.
As for Ali’s medical needs, Leah and Corey will now have a shared responsibility of getting her to-and-from her therapy and doctor visits.
Fingers crossed that this is the best thing for Ali and Aleeah!
