Kirsten Dunst and ‘Breaking Bad’ actor Jesse Plemons joined the cast of the award-winning drama series ‘Fargo,’ FX announced on Dec. 10. The actors are slated to play a married couple during the show’s sophomore season.

Kirsten Dunst In ‘Fargo’ — She & Jesse Plemons Cast In Second Season
Jesse, 26, and Kirsten, 32, will co-star as married couple Ed and Peggy Bloomquist, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Kirsten’s character Peggy is reportedly a beautician who undergoes a process of self discovery while maintaining societal expectations.
Jesse’s character, Ed, is a butcher’s assistant who tries to understand his wife’s self-discovery, though he doesn’t quite understand what she’s going through.
Fargo‘s second season takes place in 1979 in Sioux Falls, S.D., Fargo, N.D. and Luverne, Minn. The sophomore season will connect to its first season by casting a younger version of Lou Solverson (Keith Carradine), who becomes a key member in the true crime case.
Fargo won the Emmy Awards for Outstanding MiniSeries and Outstanding Directing, along with receiving 15 additional nominations for its first season. The series has become one of TV’s hottest crime shows and it’s only getting hotter — especially with Kirsten in the cast!
