Justin and Selena may reunite in perhaps the least romantic scenario ever. The former couple could come face to face in court! Will this be judgement day for Jelena?
Justin Bieber, 20, and Selena Gomez, 22, have kept their distance for quite some time now, but it could be the law that reconnects the famous exes. Both singers may be asked to give their testimonies in court after a paparazzo filed a lawsuit claiming that Justin assaulted him during a May 27, 2012 date with Selena.
Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez In Court For Paparazzi Lawsuit: Awkward Run-In?
According to a lawsuit filed in June 2013 in Los Angeles Superior Court, Jose Osmin Hernandez Duran alleges that Justin attacked him when he tried to photograph the pop star and and his then-girlfriend Selena during their movie date at The Commons in Calabasas on May. 27, 2012, reports the Santa Monica Mirror.
The lawsuit, which will go to court on Dec. 26, specifically claims that Justin physically attacked Jose, who was one of the many paparazzi that surrounded Jelena and prevented the Biebs from backing his van out of the mall.
In response, Justin allegedly “jumped and kicked” the plaintiff and also punched him in the jaw and shoved him up against a parked car, according to Jose’s lawyers.
We wonder what Selena will say if she is asked to take the witness stand. Will she defend her ex-flame or throw the Biebs under the proverbial bus?
Justin Bieber Looks Sad In Court After DUI Arrest
Of course, this isn’t Justin’s first run in with the law. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Justin had his first court case after he was arrested for a DUI and drag racing on Jan. 23 in Miami.
How could we forget the Bieb’s belligerent behavior during his arrest and his famous puppy pout when Miami-Dade County judge Joseph P. Farina set his bond?
After spending some time behind bars, Justin’s bond was set at $2,500 — $1,000 for driving under the influence, $1,000 for resisting arrest without violence and $500 with driving with an expired drivers license from Georgia.
Justin’s upcoming assault trial on Dec. 26 will undoubtedly bring back some bad memories for the Believe singer. And we’re guessing Selena’s potential court appearance would only reinforce her reservations about getting close to the infamous bad boy again.
HollywoodLifers, what do YOU think, is Justin innocent or guilty? Should Selena stand by him? Let us know!
