Klaus is reunited with baby Hope for the first time since having to give her up to keep her safe back in the season one finale. Grab your tissues now because the Dec. 8 midseason finale of ‘The Originals’ is going to bring on all the tears.
While we’re not used to putting Klaus (Joseph Morgan), or any Mikaelson boy in the category with “cute” or “adorable,” the midseason finale may just be the exception. In the new photos from The Originals episode, airing on Dec. 8, we watch him come face to face with baby Hope — and well, we haven’t seen him look at a girl like this in a very long time!
‘The Originals’: Klaus & Baby Hope Reunited
We’re not sure what will go down on tonight’s midseason finale, but we know it’s going to be happy for at least a millisecond.
However, that’s not going to last long since we know Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Klaus are making “a plan to take their mother down once and for all.” But, what does that mean for baby Hope? And what does that mean for Rebekah’s future?
“It was wonderful for Rebekah to raise this baby, but she knows it’s not hers, and she knows she’ll never have children of her own,” executive producer Michael Narducci told TVLine. “This leads her to really think about her existence as a vampire, as an immortal. We’re going to have to make some pretty difficult decisions about what to do with Hope in order to make sure she’s safe.”
I can’t wait! I love watching Klaus as a dad, even if it’s just for a brief moment. The Originals season two midseason finale airs tonight at 8/7c on The CW.
