It’s not everyday that you get Prince William, 32, and President Obama, 53, in the same room. The special event took place in Washington D.C. on Dec. 8, as the future heir to the British throne traveled to the White House as part of his first U.S. tour. He chatted with POTUS in the Oval Office about his wildlife efforts, Prince George, 1, and even took a tour of the White House!
Prince William Meets President Obama
Prince William’s jam-packed U.S. trip got off to a big start! The Duke of Cambridge flew to Washington D.C. for a meeting with POTUS and the Veep.
He toured the White House and made pitstop in the Oval Office for a long discussion with the President. In addition to talk about the Prince’s efforts to stop illegal wildlife trade, Prince George was a popular topic!
“I remember when George was born, I forgot to work out whether it was a boy or a girl,” Prince William said to President Obama, according to USA Today. “The excitement of the event and everything else was just chaos. You are suddenly…well actually it’s a boy. So now, it’s good. It’s going to be interesting next year. A busy year next year.”
Prince William and pregnant Kate had New York City in a frenzy. The royals touched down in New York City on Dec. 7 and immediately made their way to The Carlyle hotel. The couple posed for pictures, and you could even spy Kate’s baby bump!
Kate was later seen in a gorgeous black lace dress for a private dinner. While Will ventured to D.C., Kate stayed behind in NYC and headed to a Harlem child development center with Mayor of New York City Bill de Blasio‘s wife, Chirlane McCray.
