Plane Crash DC — Small Plane Crashes Into Maryland Home

Update: CNN confirmed 3 people are dead.

The small aircraft crashed into a house in Maryland’s Montgomery County.

Pete Piringer, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman, could not immediately say whether anyone was in the home at the time of the crash or how many people were injured or killed.

Pete said that the plane appears to seat between six and 10 people and that the crash set the home and two other homes on fire. He added that the crews have the fire under control and they are conducting a search and rescue operation to find anyone who was in the three homes and the plane.

A National Transportation Safety Board spokesman announced that the agency is sending an investigator to the scene. This is a developing story, we will update accordingly.
