Chris Brown is a mama's boy! HollywoodLife.com spoke to an insider who told us that Chris' sweet message to Karrueche Tran about how "everybody know I love that girl," is mainly because his mom, Joyce Hawkins, scolded him for writing such mean things about Karrueche on his Instagram.

Chris Brown & Karreuche Tran: Forced To Publicly Apologize

Our insider says that Chris really listens to his mom and when she called him asking what was going on, that’s when he realized that he needed to tone it down.

She’s very close to Karrueche, she things she’s a good girl, and she thinks Chris was acting crazy. She was very upset that Chris was flying off the handle so publicly and she urged him to cool down and make a statement the same way he made his original digs at Karrueche. She wants to see him make progress and his actions are really not only hurting Karrueche but his mom and when he realizes his mom is hurt, that’s when he takes it more seriously and that’s why he apologized!

Chris took to Instagram Dec. 8, and posted a photo of himself next to a piece of street art he had done with the caption: “Being young and dumb is one of my strong suits and emotional at best. I love hard and react impulsively when I’m hurt at times. I don’t think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a nigga feel hella WACK for doing it. So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same shit that makes me great also is my curse. Everybody know I love that girl. I don’t care how my image my look to the public because I’m still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!”

Chris & Karrueche: Their Shocking Disses To Each Other

Chris was performing at LA’s Power 106 concert on Dec. 5, when he said “f**k that b***h,” referring to Karrueche on stage.

In Chris’ original disses aimed at Karrueche he accused her of sleeping with Drake, having threesomes and of only visiting him once while he was in jail.

It’s been a rough few days for the couple. Chris may have said he was sorry, but it could be a little too late.
