Jennifer Lawrence Sings ‘The Hanging Tree’ In ‘Hunger Games’ Soundtrack – Listen

Jennifer Lawrence, 24, can do anything. The actress tried her hand at singing in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, and completely stole the show! Jennifer sang composer James Newton Howard’s track, “The Hanging Tree,” and we can’t stop listening to it. Her song has now made it onto music charts around the world!

Jennifer Lawrence’s ‘The Hanging Tree’ — Actress Makes Singing Debut

After publicly telling everyone she couldn’t sing, Jennifer Lawrence surprised everyone with her gorgeous singing voice during The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. Her voice is soft, a little folksy and absolutely unforgettable.

She’s now a triple threat — she can act, dance and sing! Jennifer, as Katniss, starts out solo, but is joined by a choir and orchestra in the song. 

Her track debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, according to TIME. The song has also hit the charts in the United Kingdom and Australia. 

The song was written Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins and The Lumineers’ Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz.

With Jennifer’s romance with Chris Martin hitting a snag and Liam Hemsworth completely done with Miley Cyrus, could the co-stars turn their friendship into a hot romance?

A new reports claims that Jennifer and Liam are taking their friendship to the next level.

“It happened while they were in Germany, promoting the movie, having a heart-to-heart in Liam’s hotel room,”  OK! reports. “Jennifer was overwhelmed by all the publicity surrounding her split from Chris Martin and her nude photo scandal, and he was more than happy to listen to her vent.”

After a sweet moment between them, everything changed. The report claims they decided that they “wanted to be together!” Aw, so cute!
