‘The Walking Dead’ spinoff just cast its male lead! Cliff Curtis, 46, will allegedly play Sean Cabrera, a divorced teacher described as ‘a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life,’ according to HollywoodLife.com’s sister site Variety!
The Walking Dead spinoff is in the early stages of production, but a big announcement was made today: Cliff Curtis will star as the male lead, according to Entertainment Weekly. So what role will the New Zealand native play in the upcoming offshoot? Here’s what we know!

Cliff will play the male lead — a father with a strong moral compass.
As for the direction that the series will take, The Walking Dead companion series will share a similar tone as the original show.
“It’s set in the same zombie apocalypse universe as the original hit series, yet in a different location (and possibly during a different time as well),” according to EW.
Plus, the same creator behind the hit AMC series, Robert Kirkman, is also spearheading the the sister show’s second apocalypse. If history is any indication, than his second shot will definitely start with a bang!

Zealous zombie fans will definitely delight in not one, but two apocalyptic shows.
Meanwhile, as Robert welcomes a new narrative, The Walking Dead fans recently said goodbye to Beth (played by Emily Kinney).
After a heart-wrenching episode, a tearful Emily Kinney, 29, revealed on the live after-show, Talking Dead, that she is devastated about her departure from the hit series! She teared up and even said that the entire ordeal was very “stressful” for her.
So as fans and Emily say their farewells to Beth on The Walking Dead, they should try to cheer up because more zombies are on the way!
