‘The Voice’: Live Results Show — Recap
Former Team Adam finalist, Christina Grimmie, kicked off the show with a performance of her hit song, “With Love.” We love seeing past contestants come back to The Voice stage to show how far they’ve come!
Jumping right into the first elimination round, Carson Daily welcomed the Top 8 on to the stage after Christina’s performance. The first singers that were announced as safe were Matt Mcandrew and Damien from Team Adam.
The country singer that is taking Nashville by storm and another The Voice alumni, Rae Lynn, also returned to give us a special performance. The former Team Blake finalist sang her new song, “God Made Girls” — she not only sounded amazing but she looked stunning in her sparking gown.
After her performance, it was right back to business — Carson called back up the remaining six contestants to find out their fate. He announced that the last two singers America saved were Taylor John Williams from Team Gwen and Craig Wayne Boyd from Team Blake.
Four Contestants Sing For Their Lives And Only One Stays
The bottom three contestants then took the stage to prove to America that they deserve the final spot in the semi-finals.
Danica Shirey from Team Pharrell gave it all she had with a performance of “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James. Her coach begged America to vote for her saying, “She deserves to be here.”
Also from Team Pharrell, Luke Wade fought for the last spot by singing the iconic song, “Stand By Me.” America’s Sweetheart, Ryan Sill sang for his life for the third week in a row — the song he chose was “Heaven.”
His coach, Gwen, said “Maybe why you keep getting saved is because you are so good at singing….we are all watching you get better every time you get up there.”
Chris Jamison sang “Georgia” for America’s instant save votes — after hearing all four performances, we had no idea what was going to happen! All of the singers were amazing in their own way.
After America tweeted their votes, the singer who will be moving on to the semi-finals was announced — it is Chris Jamison! Although he deserved a spot, we are shocked that America didn’t pull through for Ryan!
HollywoodLifers, do you think Chirs Jamison deserved the final spot in the semi finals? Let us know your thoughts!
