Two Tennessee School Buses Collide Killing 2 Children, 20 Injured

So sad. Two children and one adult were killed after two Tennessee school buses smashed into each other in a crash that also injured 20. Find out all the details here.

Two school buses filled with students crashed into each other in Knoxville, Tennessee on Dec. 2, leaving two young and innocent children dead, as well as one adult, while also injuring 2o people.

School Buses Crash In Tennessee: 2 Children Killed & 20 Injured In Collision

The two deceased children, who have yet to be named, were between the ages of 5 and 9, according to the Daily Mail. An aide on the bus was also killed.

One of the buses was driving students from Chilhowee Intermediate School, while the other was carrying kids from Sunnyview Primary School on board, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Unfortunately, the vehicles smashed into each other on Asheville Highway in Knoxville at around 2:50 P.M. Thus far, details of the collision are not clear.

Based on photos, however, the crash looked to be pretty horrific. One buses front was seen caved in, while the other had overturned and had a large dent in one side.

Twenty Injured Children In Collision Taken To East Tennessee Hospital

Aside from the three people who were killed, 20 other children were injured and taken to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Thankfully, none of the injuries were serious and all 20 children were discharged earlier today.

Our thoughts go out to those affected by this unfortunate and very sad incident. We certainly hope everyone who was injured recovers quickly. To those families who lost a loved one, they’ll remain in our prayers.
