A ‘Frozen’ Sequel is not yet set in stone, or rather, ice! Idina Menzel, voice of our beloved Elsa, clarified earlier comments that confirmed a sequel to ‘Frozen.’ So, is it happening?
Idina Menzel, 43, is just eager as Frozen fans to revive her role as Elsa. However, she explained on the Today show on Dec. 1, that it was only assumption that she would become the Snow Queen once again in a Frozen sequel. Alas, it looks like our hopes for a second Frozen are on hold now!
Idina Menzel: ‘Frozen’ Sequel Isn’t Confirmed
Idina fired up speculation surrounding a sequel to the 2013 Disney hit Frozen when she told The Telegraph on Nov. 28., that a sequel and stage musical were “all in the works.”
However during her Dec. 1., appearance on the Today show, Idina clarified her comments that launched a Frozen frenzy.
“You know, I have no idea,” she said. “I just assumed that because it’s so successful that’s what they’re up to.”

But, before our hopes of another Frozen movie completely melt away, we are not letting go of the idea!
If our Disney dreams become a reality, it seems that Idina is definitely on board. After all, she was the one who spearheaded rumors of a sequel.
The film has become a worldwide sensation over the past year. Anna and Elsa costumes can be seen on practically every little girl and the characters have taken over ABC’s Once Upon A Time. Frozen is now the fifth highest grossing film of all time!
In the mean time, we’ll be singing-along to Frozen DVD!
