Halle Berry is begging a judge to stop her ex, Gabriel Aubry, from straightening their daughter Nahla’s naturally curly hair. Yikes.
Halle Berry, 48, is back in court with her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, 39. The two parents seem to disagree on how their daughter, Nahla Aubry, 6, should style her hair. Now, the troubled former couple will face a judge over whether or not Nahla’s father should be allowed to straighten her hair without Halle’s consent.
Halle Berry Begs Gabriel Aubry To Stop Straightening Nahla’s Hair
This is definitely co-parenting gone terribly wrong.
Halle and her ex, Gabriel, are back at each other’s throats in front of a judge over their daughter, Nahla.
This time, Halle is demanding that the father of her first child stop trying to change their little girl’s hair, reports TMZ.
Documents obtained by the outlet reveal that Halle believes her ex is trying to make their daughter appear “less African-American” by straightening her naturally curly hair, and even getting her highlights.
That’s a pretty strong accusation to make, so Halle must have felt pretty strongly about Gabriel’s choice to change their daughter’s looks.
Judge Rules Neither Parent Can Change Nahla’s Looks
It turns out, Halle and her lawyer — Steve Kolodny — really did have a leg to stand on in the courtroom.
The judge ruled that neither Halle nor Gabriel should be changing their 6-year-old daughter’s hair. In fact, he ruled that the little girl’s hair should be allowed to grow back naturally.
So, that’s what Halle is now allowing to happen.
Halle, 1 / Gabriel, 0.
