Lisa Rinna is one of two soap stars to join the cast of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ this season, and she promises that Season 5 packs even more drama than ‘Melrose Place!’
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is back in action and better than ever with new housewives Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson. Let’s just say, when your day job for the past few decades has been stirring the pot on daytime TV, you fit right in with the clique on reality TV.
Lisa Rinna: ‘RHOBH’ Is More Dramatic Than ‘Melrose Place’
Lisa Rinna, 51, starred as Taylor McBride on the original Melrose Place for years, but she assures us that the primetime soap has nothing on The Housewives.
“It’s Melrose Place without the script!” the television host and actress tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Can we expect her soapy ways to come out on screen or will she be mild among the ladies? (Remember, she did throw a wine glass in the promo.)
“I am going to be very authentic, be myself and stay grounded. Don’t react to anything, but be the better person and be supportive and empower the women,” she tells us. “But that might fly out the window because we are women and we are determined. What I will tell you is that you will see that I am fiercely protective of my family!”
We’ve heard that one before from another housewife — Caroline Manzo. And you know how that turned out.
“I went into this not disliking anyone on the show,” Lisa says. “It will be interesting for people to see how that my change or evolve.”
Will Lisa Rinna Do Another Season Of The ‘Housewives?’
Even though her debut season is just kicking off, Lisa told us her thoughts on the future of The Real Housewives.
“Who knows! They have to ask me back. If it is meant to be then it is meant to be,” Lisa told HollywoodLife.com. “I had a really good time, I really did. It was a great job. It was nice to be involved with something that I could be around my children, to be here in LA and my husband [Harry Hamlin] who is working all over the place, it affords him to do that and we can balance things, so it worked out!”
HollywoodLifers, are you surprised that Lisa Rinna transitioned from daytime TV to reality TV? Let us know if you’re happy that she’s on RHOBH for Season 5!
