‘Schoolhouse Rock!’: ‘SNL’ Pokes Fun At President Obama In Funny Skit — Watch

During the cold open on Nov. 22’s ‘SNL’, the ‘Schoolhouse Rock!’ classic tune was replaced with an Executive Order, mocking President Obama’s immigration executive action on Nov. 20. Watch Obama shove the Bill down the Capitol steps in the funny clip!

Saturday Night Live always knows how to poke fun at politics, and that’s just what they did during the opening act on the Nov. 22 episode. The skit poked fun at the executive action President Obama issued on Nov. 20 when he halted the deportation of 5 million undocumented immigrants. Spinning the Schoolhouse Rock! tune “I’m Just a Bill” into the skit, we think it made for a super funny opener.

‘Schoolhouse Rock!’: ‘Saturday Night Live:’ Parody Makes Fun Of President Obama

We were already LOLing when Kenan Thompson came out dressed as the “Bill” from Schoolhouse Rock! and began singing “I’m Just a Bill.”

Jay Pharoah then came out as President Obama, and pushed Kenan down the long flight of Capitol stairs in the middle of the song! Obama says there’s an even easier way to get things done, which is to create an executive order. Cue Bobby Moynihan dressed as the Executive Order singing, “I’m an executive order and I pretty much just happen. I’ll create a new national park…or a new highway.” Too funny!

“Or bring legal status to 5 million undocumented immigrants!” Obama chimed in. The Executive Order is taken aback and screamed, “Oh My God! I didn’t even read myself. Whoa!”

Hilarious — we think SNL did such a great job of adding humor to this heavy topic — and with a classic tune!

President Obama’s Immigration Plan — He Offers Legal Status To Millions

Obama described how he’ll change the current immigration plan during a press conference at the White House on Nov. 20.

“First: we’ll build on our progress at the border with additional resources for our law enforcement personnel,” he said. “Second: I’ll make it easier and faster for high-skilled immigrants, graduates and entrepreneurs to stay and contribute to our economy. Third: we’ll take steps to deal responsibly with the millions of undocumented immigrants who already live in our country.”

See what else Obama had to say here.
