Lorde performed her heart out at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles for the 42nd American Music Awards on Nov. 23! Lorde, who is always amazing, wowed the crowd with her rendition of ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’.
Lorde, 18, certainly knows how to put on a show, and her performance at the 2014 AMAs on Nov. 23 was no exception! Lorde truly put her heart and soul into “Yellow Flicker Beat,” her song from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, and gave us one of our favorite performances of the night.
Lorde’s AMA Performance – ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’
Lorde proved that despite being just 18-years-old (which still blows our mind), she is truly an artist to be reckoned with!
Her performance of “Yellow Flicker Beat” was nothing short of perfect. We loved that she started out her performance inside of white box that slowly raised to reveal the singer to the audience! Her vocals were simply stunning and we absolutely loved all the energy she put into performing her latest chart-topper.
Lorde: Singer Racks Up AMA Nominations
Although Lorde has been in the news lately due to her on-going feud with Diplo over his less-than-kind words about her BFF Taylor Swift, 24, Lorde’s 2014 AMA nominations are really something to talk about.
The Kiwi singer-songwriter was up for three American Music Awards this year: Favorite Female Pop/Rock Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Alternative Artist! We think Lorde is more than deserving of all her nominations and we hope she gets those wins!
