After Scott almost overdosed on the Nov. 16 episode of ‘Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons’, he finally decides to check into rehab to get the help he so desperately needs. Kourtney is thrilled, but will Scott follow through with his rehab commitment?
With Kourtney Kardashian, 35, away in Los Angeles, Scott Disick, 31, confesses that he feels “lonely, miserable” and overwhelmed. That’s when he makes a huge rehab decision that could make or break both his relationship and his family.
‘KKTH’: Scott Disick Goes To Rehab For Kourtney Kardashian — November 23 Recap
Scott feels “so alone” without Kourtney’s comfort and support so he goes to stay with his friend Chris, who’s always been there for him. Chris tells Scott that he has to stop drinking, and Scott says he thinks he might need to seek help to do that. “I know I need to make something happen soon,” he confides to Chris.
Meanwhile, Kourtney goes to see her OB/GYN in LA and while her doctor is out of the room, Kourt tells sister Kendall Jenner, 19, that Scott is “severely depressed.” But Kourtney later says in a confessional that even though she knows Scott is in trouble, she doesn’t want to push him to go to rehab. “I want it to be his decision,” she explains.
It looks like Kourtney’s prayers have been answered, though, because Scott finally seems ready to get the help he’s needed for so long!
“I’ve always known that I did need some help to get to a better place, and it seems like now is the time,” Scott says in an emotional confessional. He then leaves for Mountainside Treatment Center in Connecticut. Kourtney is surprised to find Scott missing when she returns home to the Hamptons but then she sees an adorable handwritten note he left her.
We don’t want to jinx it but things seem to be headed in the right direction for Kourtney and Scott and their soon-to-be three children — if only Scott can stay in rehab and find a way to defeat his demons.
And he’s not the only one who has work to do — Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian both feel that Kourtney also needs some help so they decide to have a therapist, Leigh Weinraub, fly in so Scott and Kourtney can do some couples therapy. Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner, 59, and sisters Khloe, Kim, Kendall and Kylie Jenner also fly to New York to be with her during this difficult time and Kourtney is so relieved to have shoulders to lean on.
Kris points out that Scott is probably reacting to losing both of his parents in a matter of months, which of course Kourtney empathizes with. But she also notes that Scott has had similar issues for years, which is also a totally fair point.
Kris tells Kim that she’s really worried about Kourtney because she’s trying to do it all but no one ever takes care of her. Kris gets so upset, in fact, that she starts to tear up. “She is in denial that her world is falling apart,” Kris cries. That’s when Kim reveals that they hired a therapist to help Kourtney. Kris thinks it’s a great idea, but they’re all worried about how Kourtney will take it when they confront her.
When they all go out for a bite to eat, Kourtney admits that she has no idea where her relationship with Scott stands right now, but that she doesn’t think now is the best time to make a major decision about their relationship. The most important thing is for Scott to get healthy, Kourtney says.
Khloe and Kim finally tell Kourtney that they got a therapist for her and she predictably gets annoyed with them for going behind her back. But Kourtney quickly realizes that talking to Leigh the therapist will probably help her so she ends up welcoming her in for a session. Things seem to be going so well, but then in the preview, Kourtney reveals that Scott is planning to leave rehab early, after just five days! We can’t imagine what this means for Scott and Kourtney’s life together!
