The Nov. 19 episode of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ featured startling showdowns and one horrifying murder!
The stakes are getting high on American Horror Story: Freak Show and not all of our favorites may make it out alive. Dell (Michael Chiklis) and Jimmy (Evan Peters) finally had it out, Bette and Dot (Sarah Paulson) returned to Elsa’s (Jessica Lange) troupe, Penny’s (Grace Gummer) attempt to leave her father’s home ended in complete horror and one fan-favorite tragically lost their life.
‘American Horror Story’: Jimmy Sings & The World Rejoices
Jimmy came to visit Bette and Dot at Dandy’s house or horrors. They were dressed like Alice from Alice & Wonderland. It was creepy. It was clear to Jimmy that Dandy had manipulated Bette. She said Dandy had saved them from the killer clown. Cue the light bulb starting to go off in Jimmy’s head about crazy Dandy.
Dandy made (almost) every attempt to make them stay. He confessed that he was in love with Bette. Even though Dandy had a pretty face, Bette said she would always choose her sister. The look on Dandy’s face was complete devastation and horror. (Watch out, Jim Jim.)
ALERT. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Jimmy sang Nirvana’s “Come As You Are.” Sorry, Elsa, but it was the best performance all season! To top it all off, he dropped the mic at the end of the song. Bow down, everyone.
But Elsa wasn’t impressed. Jimmy didn’t really care, he still thought she was a liar. He confronted her about the twins. He knew she had sold them off to Dandy. However, Bette and Dot didn’t back him up on that. Dot said Elsa helped them. This turnaround meant Dot had something slick up her sleeve for Elsa.
Meanwhile, Dell was still going to the gay bar, and Stanley was watching him from afar.
Desiree and Ethel headed to the doctor, but found it was closed for business. They went inside and found his daughter. She said that the “freaks” had killed him, but he really just blew his brains out.
Back at the camp, Stanley taunted Dell about being gay. Before Dell could kill Stanley, Maggie cut in. Stanley was hardcore blackmailing Dell. He needed one of the freaks dead for his exhibit and Stanley was giving Dell one day to get it all done.
‘American Horror Story’: Terms Of Endearment
Jimmy and Maggie finally slept together. Maggie wanted to run away with Jimmy. Jimmy agreed to leave, but needed a few more days to figure everything out between Bette, Dot and Dandy. (Leave while you still can, Jimmy.)
Dell decided to make his first victim Amazon Eve! Despite his super strength, Amazon Eve kicked his ass! You go, girl!
Ethel was terrified Dell had gone this far. She told Jimmy, “The only way to survive in this disturbing, god forsaken world is to take control.” Jimmy needed to step up or she would.
Jimmy and Dell headed out to the bar to talk things over. I’m really scared for Jimmy.
Dell got Jimmy really drunk. He tried to say that he was just trying to talk to Amazon Eve about a gig. This little interrogation actually turned into some really nice bonding time between father and son. Dell told his son he shouldn’t be ashamed of his lobster hands and would hurt anyone who made fun of him.
Soon after this, Jimmy had to leave to go throw up outside.
Dell picked up a brick while Jimmy was vomiting. Don’t do what you’re thinking of doing, Dell. Don’t you hurt a hair on Jimmy’s head.
Drunk Jimmy admitted that he knew Dell was his father. His lobster hands were from his side of the family. Jimmy just wanted Dell to say he was his father.
Jimmy cried for his father to accept him.
“It’s true,” Dell said. Then, they hugged.
(Sidenote: This scene was pure gold from Evan Peters. He continues to prove he is such a versatile actor. Since season one, he’s been a scene-stealer. Yes, I loved Tate Langdon. He was an irredeemable, sociopathic killer, but I loved him because Evan was that good. Tonight’s episode was another example of fine acting from Evan.)
‘American Horror Story’: Rest In Peace, [SPOILER]
Jimmy and Dell came back to the grounds D-R-U-N-K. Elsa and Desiree were not too impressed with Dell’s influence on Jimmy.
But Dell’s heart was starting to beat again. Jimmy passed out in his trailer and Dell tucked him in! However, Stanley was there to ruin the moment. Dell was still on a deadline and Stanley was strictly enforcing it.
Penny went home to her father to tell him that she was leaving and going to live with Paul. Her father had other plans, and it was more horrifying than you could ever imagine.
Her father had he entire face tattooed and her tongue forked. It was almost too hard to keep my eyes on the screen, if I’m being completely honest. Poor Penny.
Later, Penny showed herself to Paul. He was horrified and thought it was all his fault.
Bette actually did dye her hair blonde, which kept her occupied. Dot had one more request for Elsa. She wanted Elsa to help her find a doctor that could separate her from Bette. Later, Elsa told Stanley about Dot’s plan. There was some talk of mercy killing, and Elsa wasn’t completely opposed to it.
Prepare yourselves for what you’re about to read. Get your emotions in check.
Dell brought a present to Ma Petite and it was gorgeous purple dress.
It was a really sweet moment, but it was too good to be true.
They hugged and Dell snapped her neck! Our final image of Ma Petite was of her in a jar at the exhibit.
Rest in peace, Ma Petite. You were the cutest little munchkin angel in the world. Justice must and will be served.
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of tonight’s episode? Can you believe Dell killed Ma Petite? Tell us your thoughts on the episode!
