The Top 12 got cut down to the Top 10 in this nail biting episode of ‘The Voice.’ Team Adam walked away with a full sweep — all of his singers made it through! Unfortunately, two contestants from the other teams were send packing. Find out who!
America voted for their favorite singers and the Top 9 singers were saved! The remaining contestant to join the Top 10 was chosen at the end of the show via Twitter. Two amazing singers were sadly eliminated — we have the full recap!
‘The Voice’ Results Show — Gwen Stefani & Her Team Perform
In a new twist, Carson Daily revealed that after the final three contestants are announced later on in the season, everybody that was eliminated from the Top 12 will be brought back for a second chance! A wild card contestant will then be chosen to join the top three to make up the final four standing.
The live results show kicked off with a performance from Gwen Stefani and her team Anita Antoinette, Ryan Sill, and Taylor John Williams! They sang “The Tide Is High” and had a blast up on stage!
The first four artists that America saved were Matt Mcandrew (Team Adam), Anita Antoinette (Team Gwen), Danica Shirey (Team Pharrell), and Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake).
After the first four singers got their sigh of relief, Ella Henderson from 2012’s X-Factor UK hit the stage for an awesome performance of her hit song “Ghost.” She placed sixth in the competition — it goes to show that even somebody who doesn’t win the show can still have a successful career.
The Next Five Safe Singers Are Announced & Blake Joins His Team On Stage
Carson got right back to business with the remaining results. The next singers that were announced as safe were Damien (Team Adam), Reagan James (Team Blake).
Blake then hit the stage with his contestants, Regan James, Craig Wayne Boyd, and Jessie Pitts — they sang “Sad Songs.” Jessie was the only one who was still in jeopardy of going home — so nerve wrecking!
Right after their performance, Carson brought out the six remaining artists to announce the next three safe contestants — Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen), Chris Jamison (Team Adam), and Luke Wade (Team Pharrell). It looks like America still loved Luke regardless of his lyric fumble the previous night — we figured! He really is an amazing singer.
The Remaining Singers Perform For The Last Spot & Two Are Sent Home
The singers with the least amount of votes then took the stage to sing for their lives! America voted for their favorites via Twitter at the end of their performances.
Jessie Pitts sang “Gravity” and her coach, Blake, begged America to give her a chance — “It is important to keep her on this show, she deserves to be on this show.” Up next, singing for the last spot, was Sugar Joans, singing “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” The last singer to take the stage was Ryan Sill with a sweet performance of “More Than Words.”
Next week, Patrick Stump and Diana Ross will be joining the show as advisors! Don’t forget to tune in Monday night at 8pm EST! HollywoodLifers, do you think Sugar Joans and Jessie Pitts should have been saved? Let us know what you think!
