Alfonso Ribeiro Injury: Will He Be Forced To Drop Out Of The DWTS Competition?
A source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “He has hurt his back and is waiting to hear from the doctors if he can dance on Monday.” Oh no! Poor Alfonso! “He is in a lot of pain,” our source added. So will he be able to continue competing for the mirror ball trophy?
“Producers are worried he will cause long-term damage to his back so he’s getting an MRI today to get it checked out,” our source explained.
We have reached out to ABC for their comments and we are currently waiting to hear back.
Hopefully Alfonso feels better soon and gets the green light to continue on in the competition! He has been killing it week after week and definitely has the potential to win this season.
On Nov. 10, Alfonso danced the Paso Doble to “Turn Down For What” and nailed it — he got a perfect score!
Alfonso’s Previous Injury During ‘The Carton’ Dance
This isn’t the first time that Alfonso hurt himself during this season of DWTS. On Week 6, Alfonso recreated the dance that made him a legend! The moment we are talking about, of course, is when his character, Carlton Banks, let loose to the tune of Tom Jones‘ “It’s Not Unusual” on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.
During the epic “Carlton Dance” recreation, Alfonso actually pulled his groin! Ouch! He recovered quickly and continued to slay in the weeks after. We hope he can make a quick recovery with his current back injury as well!
