Queen RiRi was an absolute vision in an all-black, sequined ensemble; we loved her cape, and she really did shine bright like a diamond! (Sorry!) She wore her hair with a deep part on her left side, leaving it long and loose down her back. Along with “Diamonds,” she also performed “Stay.”
After her solos, Eminem hit the stage so that he and Rihanna could perform their song “The Monster.” Then, Eminem dedicated “Not Afraid” to the troops before performing his massive hit “Lose Yourself.”
Concert For Valor: Bruce Springsteen & Eminem Caused Some Controversy
Since the concert aired on HBO, Eminem was free to drop as many F-bombs as he wanted — and he took full advantage of the opportunity. He drew some criticism on Twitter, however, for being so crass during a Veterans Day concert. But, well, that’s what you get when you contract Eminem for a performance!
Speaking of criticism, Bruce Springsteen earned his fair share when he and Dave Grohl joined the Zac Brown Band onstage to perform Creedence Clearwater Revival‘s “Fortunate Son” — an anti-war song.
Dave earned some goodwill from the crowd, however, when he performed Foo Fighters hits “My Hero” and “Everlong.”
After The Black Keys‘ performance of “Fever” and “Howlin For You,” that’s when Carrie and her baby bump hit the stage to sing “See You Again.” She was absolutely gorgeous in a black dress with a white ombré effect that was reminiscent of snowfall.
