It’s come to that moment Iris/Flash fans! The spunky journalist comes face-to-face with The Flash on the Nov. 11 episode, and Candice Patton reveals to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY all about their chemistry-filled first meeting!
Iris and Central City’s new hero meet for the very first time on the Nov. 11 episode of The Flash. Candice Patton, who plays Iris, dishes to HollywoodLife.com that when they cross paths, Iris becomes “enamored” with The Flash (Grant Gustin) and serious “sparks will fly” between them!
‘The Flash’: Iris & The Flash Meet For The First Time
After her father (Jesse L. Martin) becomes concerned about Iris writing about “the streak” on her blog, The Flash reveals himself to her for the first time. However, will she know it’s Barry from the moment they meet?
“He does come to visit her and it’s interesting how he disguises himself and how enamored Iris is with The Flash,” Candice tells HollywoodLife.com. “It’s her first time seeing him face-to-face and it kind of takes her back how enthralled she is with this man who is saving people in her beloved city.”
“There’s a lot of chemistry and a lot of sparks will fly between Iris and The Flash,” Candice continues.
Well, this is exciting news! But don’t expect Iris to just become the stereotypical damsel in distress we often see in superhero movies and television shows. Iris is not that girl.
“She’s not always waiting for The Flash to come and save her,” Candice told HollywoodLife.com. “She’s very proactive, strong woman and you’ll see a lot of that in the upcoming episodes.”
The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
