The former singer of rock group, The Cranberries, was detained at the Shannon Airport in Ireland in the early hours of Nov. 10. Dolores O’Riordan was arrested on suspicion of assault!
During a flight from New York City to Ireland, Dolores O’Riordan allegedly assaulted an air hostess. The 43-year-old singer of The Cranberries was detained by Gardai, the Ireland police, and she then allegedly headbutted a police officer. The hostess was taken to the hospital upon landing.

“Gardai were called to meet the aircraft following an allegation of an assault on a female Aer Lingus air hostess. A Garda was also assaulted during the course of the arrest,” a spokesman said, according to DailyMail.
The air hostess’ foot was fractured after Dolores reportedly stomped on it during the flight — she was then reportedly taken to Mid-Western Regional Hospital for treatment.
Dolores also reportedly headbutted an officer when getting off the plane. she is being questioned on allegations of assault and was detained under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.
“An incident took place on board flight EI 110 en route from New York to Shannon today. The matter is being investigated by An Garda Siochana. As this is a security matter we will not comment any further,” a spokesman for the airline Aer Lingus said.
Dolores is married to Don Burton, the former tour manager of Duran Duran and together they have three children. She has been the lead singer of The Cranberries since the young age of 18.
Dolores’ team has not yet commented on the matter.
